A seabed connection hub (SCH) 1 for guiding a drilling assembly to drill a bore hole and subsequently guiding a deep set tensile anchor into the bore hole. The SCH has a body member 2 acting as a sea bed anchor having a lower surface 3 penetrating the sea bed. There may be resistance members 16 extending outwardly from the body member that extends into the sea bed and provides a lateral strength. The body member has a guide channel 6 extending to a first opening at a lower end and preferably between the first opening and a second opening 5 at the upper end. The guide channel receives and guides the drilling assembly to produce a bore hole and a deep set tensile anchor into the opening of the borehole. The body member also has a connector 12 for engaging a mooring line termination for an offshore installation. There is a method of installing a deep set anchor using the SCH and including operating a locking and tensioning mechanism (20, Figure 6) located within the guide channel to engage an elongate tensile member (21, Figure 6) attached to the deep set tensile member and tensioning to the mooring line.
