A propulsion device (29, fig 13) comprises a plasma chamber housing 1, with an impeller 18 and at least one fluid plasma exploding chamber 42. Turbulence control canards (23, fig 12) direct the plasma. As the impeller rotates, fluid is directed by blades 20 along fluid channel 22, through a narrowed passage 21 into the plasma exploding chamber, where it is pressurised and rapidly heated. Explosion control canards (43, fig 12) in front of the exploding chamber direct the flow and reduce turbulence as it passes through a passage 46 into exhaust 48, creating thrust. The plasma chamber may rotate through 360 degrees around the impeller. Fluid flow director (12, fig 4) are placed at narrowed passage (21, fig 4) and may be variable in shape and size as well as in distribution pattern and mutual distance. The rotation of the plasma chamber assists with the steering of manned or unmanned vehicles.
