The invention relates to a non-track-bound, electrically or hybrid-electrically driven vehicle (1) having a current collector (4) for supplying traction energy from a two-pole, electrical overhead line system (3). The current collector (4) has an erectable supporting frame (7) which, by way of a fixed end (10), is supported in an articulated manner on a vehicle chassis (2) and the free end (12) of which is connected in an articulated manner to a rocker support (14). Here, for each contact pole, a rocker (16, 17) with contact strips (18) is mounted with spring action on the rocker support (14) by means of at least one spring assembly (19, 19') in each case. According to the invention, a restoring force (F) of the spring assembly (19, 19') has a constant spring characteristic (KL) along its compression travel (S). Here, the compression travel (S) of the spring assembly (19, 19') comprises, in succession, a first spring travel (S1) along which a restoring force (F) increases with a first spring constant (K1), a second spring travel (S2) along which the restoring force (F) remains constant, and a third spring travel (S3) along which the restoring force (F) rises with a second spring constant (K2) that is greater than the first spring constant (K1). As a result, a high contact quality can be achieved even with varying overhead wire heights.
