A system (1) comprising a door assembly (5) configured to be installed within an aircraft galley, the door assembly (5) including: a door body (7) which is moveable between a closed position and an open position; and a primary latch mechanism (9) configured to secure the door body (7) in the closed position. The primary latch mechanism (9) is moveable between a latched position, a neutral position and an unlatched position. The primary latch mechanism (9) includes: a rotatable plate (13), an electrically operated actuator (17) mechanically coupled to the rotatable plate (13) and configured to rotate the rotatable plate (13), a handle (15) mechanically coupled to the rotatable plate (13) and configured to rotate the rotatable plate (13), and a latching rod (11a) coupled to the rotatable plate, wherein the rotatable plate (13) is configured to convert a rotational movement into linear movement of the latching rod (11a) such that the door assembly (5) may be latched and unlatched.
