A damping mechanism for providing vibration damping between coaxially mounted first, outer, shaft (12) and second, inner, shaft (14) of a drive train, the damping mechanism comprising a friction disk (32), a Belleville spring (34) and an adjustment shim (36) arranged to be mounted under a pre-load force within the first shaft exerting a force against the second shaft, the damping mechanism arranged to be secured in the first shaft by a locking nut.
