It is a method for predicting a pressing force BF of a bead portion 4 of a tire 1 having a bead core 5 in the bead portion 4. It comprises a step of predicting the pressing force BF of the bead portion 4 when the tire 1 is fitted onto a rim R of a wheel by using a numeric expression. In the predicting step, the bead pressing force BF is predicted by using the inner diameter IDw of the bead core, the diameter ODR of the rim, and the thickness Ct inward in the tire radial direction from the bead core 5.
