A brake system for vehicle braking is provided, and relates to the field of autonomous driving technologies. The system includes: at least one brake wheel cylinder (26, 27, 28, and 29); a primary brake module (40), configured to provide brake pressure to brake a vehicle; and a secondary brake module (39), including an electric linear pump (31), a first pipe, and a second pipe. The electric linear pump (31) includes a piston (312) and a pump chamber (311). The pump chamber (311) is connected to a liquid storage tank (10) through the second pipe. When the piston (312) moves away from a first interface, the pump chamber (311) receives brake fluid from the liquid storage tank (10) through the second pipe. The first interface is an interface between the pump chamber (311) and the first pipe. The pump chamber (311) is connected to the at least one brake wheel cylinder (26, 27, 28, and 29) through the first pipe. The piston (312) may move toward the first interface and enable brake fluid in the pump chamber (311) to enter the first pipe, to provide brake pressure. The system can provide long-term, high-precision redundant braking.
