The invention relates to a vehicle guidance system (1) for a vehicle (4) that can be controlled without a driver, in particular without steering wheels and pedals. The vehicle guidance system comprises a remote control unit (2) having a user interface (6) for inputting vehicle guidance presetting. The vehicle guidance system further comprises a command compiling unit (3) configured to obtain the input vehicle guidance presetting, to determine a theoretical value of at least one vehicle parameter related to the vehicle guidance from the vehicle guidance presetting, and to generate a corresponding message, the message is known for an integrated controller of the vehicle (4) for actuating the respective vehicle actuator. In this case, the command compiling unit (3) has a wired communication interface (K22) for transmitting the generated messages to integrated controllers of the vehicle (4), which wired communication interface is designed to be coupled to a normalized wired interface (K21) of a communication system (5) of the vehicle itself, which controllers are connected in the communication system of the vehicle itself.
