A leading-edge slat (6) for an aircraft (62) is proposed, which comprises a front skin (10), a back skin (12), a spar (14) and an air inlet (16) for receiving air at an elevated temperature for de-icing or anti-icing. In the slat, at least one air chamber is created, which is supplied with said air. A first portion (28) of the back skin (12) is attached to the spar (14) at a distance to the bottom section (20), wherein a second portion (31) of the back skin (12) is attached to the top section (22). Thereby, a region in front of the fixed leading edge (2) is created, into which air from air outlets (48) integrated into the back skin (12) can be exhausted outside of the slat (6).
