A tread profile of a vehicle tire, having at least one profile band (4) with elevated profile elements (9) which are delimited by transverse or oblique channels (8) and which are arranged one behind the other in a circumferential direction U, wherein, in profile elements (9) of the profile band (4), there are formed transversely running sipes (10) arranged one behind the other over the circumference of the tire, which sipes are each delimited by two sipe walls (12, 13), having sipe walls (12, 13) which are formed with a bevel (11) at the transition to the surface (15) which delimits the profile band (4) to the outside in a radial direction R, wherein the profile band (4) is, with variation of the pitch lengths of the tread profile, formed with profile elements (9', 9'') of different block lengths (L1, L2) measured in the circumferential direction U, wherein a greater number of such sipes (10) are formed in profile elements (9'') of relatively great block length (L2 ) than in profile elements (9') of relatively small block length (L1), wherein the profile elements (9', 9'') of the profile band (4) are, irrespective of the block length (L1, L2) thereof, formed in each case with an equal number of sipe walls (12, 13) on which a bevel (11) is formed.
