The invention relates to a sensory feedback control method for a control interface of a motor vehicle, said control interface comprising a touch-sensitive surface (2). The method comprises the following steps: detecting at least one parameter relating to the movement of a pointing element (3) on the touch-sensitive surface (2) towards a target boundary (6) of the touch-sensitive surface (2); determining an estimated time window during which the pointing element (3) is expected to cross the target boundary (6), taking account of the parameter relating to the movement of the pointing element (3) towards the target boundary (6); calculating a moment in time, prior to the estimated time window, for the transmission of a command to generate sensory feedback, taking account of the time window determined for the crossing of the boundary; transmitting a command to generate at least one sensory feedback at said moment in time, in order to generate a sensory feedback within the determined estimated time window, so as to prevent a time lag between the perception of the sensory feedback and the crossing of the target boundary (6). The invention also relates to a control interface for a motor vehicle, configured to carry out such a control method.
