The park-lock device (10) comprises: a gearwheel (16) intended to be connected for rotation with a rotating member (14) of the transmission; a tilting lever (18) provided with a locking tooth (20) arranged to engage the gearwheel (16) to prevent rotation of the gearwheel (16), the tilting lever (18) being tiltably mounted about a first axis of rotation (x1) between a disengagement position and an engagement position; and a control unit (26, 28, 30) for controlling the tilting movement of the tilting lever (18) about the first axis of rotation (x1) between the disengagement position and the engagement position. The control unit (26, 28, 30, 42) comprises a cam (28) which is rotatably mounted about a second axis of rotation (x2) parallel to the first axis of rotation (x1) and has a first lateral surface portion (36a) configured to cooperate with a first cam follower (32) carried by the tilting lever (18). The tilting lever (18) carries a second cam follower (34) and the cam (28) has a second lateral surface portion (36b) configured to cooperate with the second cam follower (34), whereby in a first direction of rotation the cam (28) causes the tilting lever (18) to tilt from the disengagement position to the engagement position, while in a second direction of rotation opposite to the first one the cam (28) causes the tilting lever (18) to tilt from the engagement position to the disengagement position.
