The invention relates to a component for separating and/or delimiting a cavity, in particular of a motor vehicle, such as in a rocker panel for example, comprising: at least one opening (10) for discharging a dip coating liquid out of the cavity; at least one expandable element (11) which is arranged next to or about the at least one opening (10) and which can be expanded in order to close the opening (10); and at least one deflecting element (13) which projects at least partly beyond the at least one opening (10) such that the at least one expandable element (11) impacts the deflecting element (13) during an expansion and is blocked by the deflecting element.
