The present disclosure relates to an aerial survey image capture system (10) for a survey aircraft navigable using navigation parameters that include altitude, speed and direction. The system comprises:a camera system (19) arranged to capture successive images of ground beneath a survey aircraft (42) as the survey aircraft (42) travels on a defined flight path;the camera system (19) having associated camera parameters indicative of image capture characteristics of the camera system (19) including defined image overlap between captured images; anda camera parameter modifier (17) arranged to produce modified camera system parameters in response to a change in at least one navigation parameter, including altitude or speed, actually made to the aircraft, the modified camera system parameters modifying characteristics of image capture by the camera system (19) so as to substantially maintain the defined image overlap between captured images and thereby at least partially compensate for a change in survey efficiency when the changed at least one navigation parameter is used to navigate the survey aircraft.
