The invention relates to the management of a motor vehicle comprising at least one driving engine having an output shaft which is coupled with the drive train of the vehicle and drives same, which includes a step of switching from a first configuration in which at least one accessory separate from the drive chain is coupled with, and driven by, said output shaft, to a second temporary configuration in which said at least one accessory is disconnected from said output shaft, implemented during a phase for increasing the torque output by said at least one driving engine.
