A longitudinal-shaped sensor member (30) that is capable of torsional elastic deformation around a torsional center line (S) in a longitudinal direction is disposed at a position offset from a pedal arm (18) in a direction parallel with a support axis (O), and a reaction force acting portion at which a reaction force (R) acts is set at a position separated from the torsional center line (S) in the direction parallel with the support axis (O). Therefore, the sensor member (30) is flexurally deformed and torsionally deformed around the torsional center line (S) when a pedal is in operation. Therefore, it is possible to increase the deformation amount (relative displacement stroke of an operation input portion and the reaction force acting portion) of the sensor member (30) using a small space without sacrificing stiffness when compared to bending deformation only, and it is possible to make a pedal actuation amount detection device (10) compact in size while improving detection accuracy thereof.
