A damper post-stage rotation speed Nd(CA) in a post-stage of a damper calculated from motor rotation speeds Nm1(CA) and Nm2(CA) and an engine rotation speed Ne(CA) are used to calculate a resonance influence component Nde(CA) (S210 to S240), and the resonance influence component Nde(CA) is subtracted from the engine rotation speed Ne(CA) to calculate a determination rotation speed Nj (CA) (S250). Then, the determination rotation speed Nj (CA) is used to determine a misfire of an engine. This allows determination of the misfire of the engine with higher accuracy even if resonance caused by torsion of the damper occurs.
