The device has a Bowden cable staying in connection with flaps in such a manner that the Bowden cable follows flap movement. A shift path of the Bowden cable extends from one point to another point, where one or both the points are arranged at non movable structural components of an airplane wing. Two deflection pulleys are arranged in movement direction of the flap in a shifted manner. The Bowden cable runs over the entire width of the flap.
