Drones require a take-off and a landing place for carrying out operational and flight phases. Also, due to their lightweight construction, drones are sensitive to external influences such as for example, extreme weather variations and contaminants. An operator is required for operating and protecting the drone. The new type of device offers, in addition to a safe take-off and landing place, protection from external influences without the need for an operator to be present. Said device comprises, in the inside, a platform (figure 1/number 3) on which the drone (figure 2/number 4) can be placed or parked. In order to free the platform, the device opens the roof construction (figure 1/number 1) by rotating 180° about the lower shell (figure 1/number 2). The drone can therefore rest on the thus freed platform and remain there until the next take-off. After landing, the device closes the roof construction by rotating said roof construction a further 180°. The drone can communicate autonomously with the device to carry out the take-off and landing operations. Said device is advantageous especially when drones have to autonomously carry out operation and flight phases without an operator such as in remote or dangerous areas. Another advantage of the invention is that drones can fly in new areas and find in the area a suitable landing and supply options.
