Die Erfindung betrifft ein Steer-by-Wire-System (2) für ein Fahrzeug (1), umfassend ein erstes Subsystem (2.1) und ein zweites Subsystem (2.2), welche voneinander unabhängig sind und jeweils ausgebildet sind zur Erfassung eines Lenkhandhabewinkels einer Lenkhandhabe (3) des Fahrzeugs (1) mittels jeweils eines Lenkhandhabewinkelsensors (4, 5) und zum Lenken des Fahrzeugs (1) durch Einstellung eines Radwinkels mindestens eines Rades (15) des Fahrzeugs (1) in Abhängigkeit von dem erfassten Lenkhandhabewinkel mittels jeweils einer Lenkaktoreinheit (6, 7).Erfindungsgemäß umfasst das Steer-by-Wire-System (2) ein von den beiden Subsystemen (2.1, 2.2) unabhängiges drittes Subsystem (2.3), welches ausgebildet ist zur Erfassung des Lenkhandhabewinkels der Lenkhandhabe (3) des Fahrzeugs (1) mittels eines dritten Lenkhandhabewinkelsensors (19) und zum Lenken des Fahrzeugs (1) in Abhängigkeit von dem erfassten Lenkhandhabewinkel mittels mindestens eines vom ersten Subsystem (2.1) und zweiten Subsystem (2.2) unabhängigen Querführungsbeeinflussungssystems (8).

    The invention relates to a steer-by-wire system (2) for a vehicle (1), comprising a first sub-system (2.1) and a second sub-system (2.2) which are independent of one another and are each designed for detecting a steering wheel angle of a steering wheel (3) of the vehicle (1) by means of respective steering wheel angle sensors (4, 5) and for steering the vehicle (1) by adjusting a wheel angle of at least one wheel (15) of the vehicle (1) according to the detected steering wheel angle by means of respective steering actuator units (6, 7). According to the invention the steer-by-wire system (2) comprises a third sub-system (2.3) which is independent of the two sub-systems (2.1, 2.2) and is designed is for detecting the steering wheel angle of the steering wheel (3) of the vehicle (1) by means of a third steering wheel angle sensor (19) and for steering the vehicle (1) according to the detected steering wheel angle by means of at least one transverse guiding influencing system (8) which is independent of the first sub-system (2.1) and the second sub-system (2.2).
