The branch chains of the robot are folded and unfolded by controlling rotation of the motors, so that the robot can flexibly switch a collision-free rolling gait and a climbing gait, and the robot is simple and efficient in mechanical structure, high in feasibility and capable of being well applied to the fields of detection, rescue and the like.
