The invention relates to a method, device and equipment for controlling a vehicle, the vehicle and a medium. The method includes determining whether a front radar of the vehicle is available. The method further includes, in response to determining that the front radar of the vehicle is unavailable, acquiring, with an angle radar of the vehicle, position information of an obstacle located in front of the vehicle relative to the angle radar. In addition, the method also includes controlling at least one of adaptive cruise or automatic emergency braking of the vehicle based on the location information. In this way, the embodiments of the present disclosure can still provide functionality such as AEB and ACC when the front radar is unavailable, thereby improving the safety of vehicle driving, improving the comfort of a driver, and also improving the smoothness of traffic.
