The method comprises the steps that target data of a target area are collected, and the target data comprise meteorological data in the target area, load data of charging piles in the target area and traffic flow in the target area; and on the basis of the target data, a target charging load model is adopted to predict the charging load of the electric vehicle in the target area to obtain a prediction result, and the target charging load model is obtained by training the sample data of the target area by adopting a CatBoost algorithm. According to the invention, the technical problem of inaccurate prediction of the charging load of the electric vehicle caused by uncertainty of the charging behavior of the electric vehicle is solved.
