The invention discloses an all-terrain vehicle and a braking method thereof.The braking method is applied to a control module of the all-terrain vehicle, and the control module is in communication interaction with a power source and a braking mechanism and used for controlling the braking mechanism to adjust braking force applied to a wheel assembly of the all-terrain vehicle. The braking method comprises the steps that attitude information of the all-terrain vehicle is obtained, and the attitude information at least comprises the vehicle body acceleration of the all-terrain vehicle; determining a brake signal applied to a brake mechanism of the all-terrain vehicle; determining an expected acceleration range of the all-terrain vehicle according to the brake signal; and the braking force applied to the wheel assembly by the braking mechanism is adjusted according to the expected acceleration range and the vehicle body acceleration. By adjusting the braking force applied to the wheel assembly by the braking mechanism in real time, the running safety of the all-terrain vehicle during braking can be improved.
