The method comprises the following steps: determining a first relative driving speed of a vehicle and a front driving vehicle at a current moment and a first relative driving distance at a next moment, and determining a second relative driving speed of the vehicle and a rear driving vehicle at the current moment and a second relative driving distance at the next moment; based on the first relative driving speed, the first relative driving distance, the second relative driving speed and the second relative driving distance, an energy recovery torque correction value of the vehicle at the current moment is determined; determining a target energy recovery torque of the vehicle at the current moment based on the energy recovery torque correction value and the required energy recovery torque; and according to the target energy recovery torque, the vehicle is controlled to carry out energy recovery. The energy recovery torque of the vehicle can be adjusted in a self-adaptive mode so as to adapt to energy recovery intensity adjustment in different driving scenes, the driving experience can be improved, and the good energy-saving effect can be achieved.
