The ultrahigh-energy-density lithium battery comprises a positive electrode and a negative electrode, the positive electrode comprises a positive electrode material, a binder and a conductive agent; wherein the positive electrode material is a high-nickel ternary material, a lithium-rich manganese material, a sulfur-based material and a composite positive electrode material thereof, preferably, the composite positive electrode material containing the sulfur-based material, and more preferably, the weight ratio of the sulfur-based material in the composite positive electrode material is 5-40%.
