The invention discloses a drive-by-wire independent steering system and a control method thereof, and the system comprises a detection mechanism which is used for detecting a steering wheel angle signal, a current/torque signal of a steering motor, a vehicle speed signal and a front wheel angle signal; the executing mechanism comprises a two-way electromagnetic valve mechanism, two sets of steering motors and two sets of steering mechanisms, and the two sets of steering motors and the two sets of steering mechanisms are symmetrically arranged relative to the two-way electromagnetic valve mechanism; the steering motors are connected with the front wheels through the wheel steering mechanisms, and the steering mechanisms are connected through the two-way electromagnetic valve mechanism. And the control unit is respectively connected with the detection mechanism, the steering motor and the bidirectional electromagnetic valve mechanism. The system is simple in structure, has redundancy, is easy to control, is quick in response, can achieve independent steering of left and right wheels under the normal condition of a steer-by-wire vehicle, improves the steering performance of the vehicle, and improves the maneuverability of the whole vehicle; when the steering motor breaks down, the gears and the racks on the two sides can be combined into a whole in the shortest time, and safe driving and steering of the automobile are guaranteed.

    本发明公开了一种线控独立转向系统及其控制方法,该系统包括检测机构,检测机构用于检测方向盘转角信号、转向电机的电流/转矩信号、车速信号和前轮转角信号;执行机构,执行机构包括双向电磁阀机构以及关于双向电磁阀机构对称设置的两组转向电机和转向机构;转向电机均通过车轮转向机构与前轮连接,转向机构之间通过双向电磁阀机构连接;和控制单元,控制单元分别与检测机构、转向电机、双向电磁阀机构连接。本发明结构简单,具有冗余性,易于控制、响应迅速,既能在线控转向车辆正常情况下实现左右车轮独立转向,提升车辆转向性能、改善整车操纵性;又能在转向电机发生故障时在最短时间内把两侧齿轮齿条结合为一体,保证汽车安全行驶和转向。
