The installation method comprises the following steps that S1, an installation platform is erected outside a cabin, and a dragging rail is arranged; s2, arranging a special mounting trolley according to the structural characteristics, the weight and the gravity center of the tail shaft; s3, the tail shaft is placed on a mounting trolley, and the position of the shaft is adjusted through a jackscrew on the mounting trolley; s4, an electric hoist is used for dragging the stern shaft, fine adjustment is conducted on the installation trolleys in good time, when the first installation trolley reaches the end of the stern ball, dragging is stopped, an auxiliary hanging belt is installed, and the hoist is tensioned to enable the hanging belt to be stressed; s5, a jackscrew of the first installation trolley is loosened, the first installation trolley is moved to the position in front of the gravity center of the stern shaft, the stern shaft continues to be dragged, and when the trolley is close to the end face of the stern ball, the first installation trolley is detached after being split; s6, the penetrating shaft continues to be dragged, and the stern shaft is dragged into the shaft sleeve; and S7, after the tail shaft penetrates into the cabin, the tail shaft is dragged in place through a third mounting trolley in the cabin, a second mounting trolley outside the cabin and an auxiliary hanging belt.
