The invention provides an automatic rearview mirror adjusting method and device based on a sitting posture, electronic equipment and a medium, and relates to the field of vehicle engineering.The method comprises the steps that the speed of a current vehicle, the seat position, the backrest angle of a seat, the sight height of a driver and the sight direction of the driver are obtained based on a rearview mirror adjusting request initiated by the driver; if the angle of the sight line direction deviating from the head-up direction meets a preset angle, processing the seat position, the backrest angle, the sight line height and the sight line direction, and determining a target sitting posture index of the driver; determining a target rearview mirror change angle based on the target sitting posture index; and if the target rearview mirror change angle meets the configured angle change condition and the vehicle speed of the current vehicle meets the configured preset vehicle speed, the rearview mirror of the current vehicle is adjusted according to the target rearview mirror change angle. According to the invention, the convenience, safety, accuracy, adaptability, demand accuracy, comfort and rearview stability of driving the vehicle by the driver can be improved.
