The invention provides a traffic light total period mining method and device, and relates to the technical field of big data, in particular to the technical field of map navigation. A specific embodiment of the method comprises the steps of extracting a target trajectory feature set based on a historical trajectory data set of vehicles passing through an intersection; based on the target trajectory feature set, determining candidate periods of traffic lights in the intersection; based on the candidate period of the traffic light, determining an intersection candidate period; and determining the traffic light total period of the intersection based on the red-green conflict of the intersection candidate period.
