A specific embodiment of the method comprises the steps of extracting a target trajectory feature set based on a historical trajectory data set of vehicles passing through an intersection; based on the target trajectory characteristics of the traffic light in the total period invariant time period, determining traffic light candidate phase segments; aggregating the traffic light candidate phase segments to obtain intersection candidate phase segments; determining an intersection phase section based on the target trajectory characteristics in the intersection candidate phase section; and determining the traffic light phase based on the target trajectory characteristics of the traffic light in the intersection phase section.
