The invention discloses a differential rope-driven space debris target capturing mechanism, and particularly relates to the field of space capturing equipment, the differential rope-driven space debris target capturing mechanism comprises a base, a tether and a driving mechanism used for controlling the tether to be wound and unwound, and each capturing arm comprises a joint base, a first joint, a first-stage arm, a second-stage arm and a rope winding mechanism; wherein the joint base is provided with a limiting unlocking assembly, and the limiting unlocking assembly is connected with the driving mechanism; the joint base is hinged through a first joint shaft, and the first joint shaft is provided with a torsional spring and a limiting assembly; two torsion arms of the torsion spring abut against the first joint and the base respectively. All the joints can be automatically unfolded, control of driving mechanisms is not needed, the driving mechanisms are reduced, and then the structure of the capturing mechanism is simplified.
