The embodiment of the invention provides a vehicle mass estimation method and device, equipment and a storage medium. Firstly, running parameters such as the speed, the driving torque, the driving resistance torque, the gradient, the main speed reducer transmission ratio, the transmission efficiency and the transmission transmission ratio of a vehicle are obtained; a first acceleration of the vehicle is then calculated as a function of the speed. An estimated mass of the vehicle is then determined using the first acceleration and the operating parameter. And torque matching verification, acceleration matching verification and gear shifting matching verification are carried out on the estimated mass. If the arbitration verification is passed, the estimated mass is output as the mass of the vehicle. By means of the method, the quality can be estimated in real time in combination with the operation parameters of the vehicle, multiple verification is conducted on the estimated quality, the reliability of the estimated quality is improved, and important reference is provided for vehicle control.
