The method comprises the steps that the servicing mass, seat sensing information and residual fuel oil information of a vehicle are collected, and the physical mass of the whole vehicle of the vehicle is estimated based on the servicing mass, the seat sensing information and the residual fuel oil information; estimating the whole vehicle kinematics mass of the vehicle based on the whole vehicle driving torque, the whole vehicle acceleration resistance, the whole vehicle running resistance and the whole vehicle ramp resistance of the vehicle; based on the current running stable state of the vehicle, the vehicle physical mass and the vehicle kinematics mass are fused, and the fused vehicle mass of the vehicle is obtained; and based on the current driving working condition of the vehicle, updating the fused whole vehicle mass, and outputting the final whole vehicle estimated mass of the vehicle. The method can improve the estimation accuracy of the whole vehicle mass of the vehicle, can greatly improve the kinematics control precision of the vehicle, and improves the control effect of the whole vehicle stability.
