The invention provides an automobile torque vector control method and system, and the system comprises a recognition module which is used for obtaining the driving information of an automobile, and recognizing the type of a driver according to the driving information; the yawing moment potential calculation module is used for acquiring current road surface information and vehicle information, and calculating the maximum yawing moment which can be generated at the current time and the allowable maximum torque of each wheel motor according to the road surface information and the vehicle information; the control module is used for calculating a target yawing moment according to the category of the driver, the driving information, the road surface information, the vehicle information and the maximum yawing moment; and the torque distribution module is used for calculating the target torque of each wheel according to the target yaw moment and the maximum torque and distributing the target torque to each wheel. According to different driving habits, the types of the drivers are recognized, adjustment is automatically conducted according to the different types when the target yawing moment is calculated, the automobile torque vector control system is made to adapt to all the drivers, and the system is more intelligent.
