The invention discloses a vehicle braking method, a vehicle, a storage medium and a program product, and relates to the technical field of electric vehicle braking, and the method comprises the steps that under the condition that it is determined that the vehicle needs to be electrically braked, the current electric quantity value of a battery of the vehicle is obtained; if the current electric quantity value is greater than the preset electric quantity value, controlling a switch piece of the vehicle to be switched on so as to enable a battery to supply power to an energy-consuming load branch, and controlling the vehicle to perform electric braking; wherein the energy-consuming load branch is connected with the battery through a switch piece, and the switch piece can be selectively switched on or switched off. The technical problem that in the prior art, under the condition that a battery is fully charged, an electric vehicle cannot use electric braking when going downhill can be solved.
