The invention discloses a hoisting method for hoisting a rolling mill stand by using two cranes, belongs to the technical field of hoisting equipment, and is mainly used for hoisting super-long, super-wide and super-heavy objects by using two cranes with different specifications. The technical problem to be solved by the invention is to provide a hoisting method for hoisting a rolling mill stand by using double cranes. The hoisting method comprises the following steps: connecting a hoisting tool with a first travelling crane, a second travelling crane and the rolling mill stand; a first lifting lug and a second lifting lug which are arranged above the lifting tool are connected with lifting hooks of the first travelling crane and the second travelling crane; a third lifting lug and a fourth lifting lug which are arranged below the lifting tool are connected with rolling mill lifting points of a rolling mill stand; a rolling mill rack is lifted and erected; transferring the rolling mill stand to a mounting position; and lowering and installing a rolling mill stand. By the adoption of the hoisting method, the two cranes of different specifications can safely hoist the overweight rolling mill rack together, the cranes of corresponding specifications do not need to be additionally reloaded, the construction cost of equipment installation is effectively reduced, and the hoisting tool is easy to manufacture.
