The invention provides a shoulder pole beam for hoisting a rolling mill stand. The top wall of the shoulder pole beam is provided with at least two arc-shaped rope supporting bodies which are arrangedside by side in the length direction of the shoulder pole beam at intervals; at least two hooks which are arranged side by side in the length direction of the shoulder pole beam at intervals are arranged on each of two side walls of the shoulder pole beam, and/or at least two lifting lugs which are arranged side by side in the length direction of the shoulder pole beam at intervals are arranged on each of the two side walls of the shoulder pole beam; a first crane connecting point is arranged at a first end of the shoulder pole beam and on the top wall of the shoulder pole beam; and a secondcrane connecting point is further arranged at the top wall of the shoulder pole beam and at the position close to a second end of the shoulder pole beam. According to the shoulder pole beam for hoisting the rolling mill stand, hoisting is conducted through a first crane and a second crane, force bearing is conducted through the shoulder pole beam, and then hoisting of the rolling mill stand hung on the shoulder pole beam and horizontal movement after hoisting are achieved.
