The invention discloses a safety monitoring method for a tower crane on a construction site, and belongs to the field of construction engineering. In order to solve the safety problem of a tower crane in the field of constructional engineering, a real-time positioning system and a digital twinning technology are used for recognizing a dangerous area below a tower crane load, real-time positioning is carried out on workers on a construction site, and safety early warning is carried out. The method comprises the following steps of: firstly, positioning a tower crane load and a building worker by using a time difference of arrival algorithm, then calculating a load falling point by using the Alembert principle, finally realizing synchronization of a physical layer and a digital layer through a digital twinning technology, and providing various functions for a user in a service form. According to the method, bidirectional control over the safety risk of the tower crane by a tower crane operator and field workers can be achieved, and therefore the danger is reduced or even eliminated to the maximum extent.
