The invention discloses a skin and a variable stiffness deformation control method thereof. The skin comprises a shape memory polymer matrix and a plurality of liquid metal pipes, the liquid metal pipe is mounted in the shape memory polymer matrix; and the liquid metal pipe is heated so that the liquid metal pipe can be melted, and heat is conducted to the shape memory polymer matrix to achieve variable stiffness deformation. The skin structure is applied to various morphing aircrafts and morphing wings, and the defect that rubber type morphing skins and pure shape memory polymer skins are poor in pneumatic bearing capacity is overcome; the structural rigidity is high, and the requirement of the wing for the aerodynamic load bearing capacity is met; and the defects that the deformation capacity is reduced, heating is uneven, and heating efficiency is low due to the fact that a resistance wire is embedded in a traditional shape memory polymer skin or a heating film is externally attached to the traditional shape memory polymer skin for heating are overcome, liquid metal in the skin is electrically heated, the skin can be rapidly and efficiently heated, and the rigidity of the skin is changed.
本发明公开了一种蒙皮及其变刚度变形控制方法,包括:形状记忆聚合物基体和若干条液态金属管;所述液态金属管安装在所述形状记忆聚合物基体内;对所述液态金属管加热以使所述液态金属管熔化,并将热量传导至所述形状记忆聚合物基体实现变刚度变形。本发明的蒙皮结构应用在各类变体飞行器及变形机翼上,改善了橡胶类变形蒙皮和纯形状记忆聚合物蒙皮气动承载能力弱的缺点;且结构刚度较高,满足机翼对气动载荷承载能力的需求;还改善了传统形状记忆聚合物蒙皮内嵌电阻丝或外贴加热膜加热导致的变形能力下降、加热不均匀、加热效率低等缺点,通过电加热蒙皮内部的液态金属,可以快速高效地加热蒙皮,改变蒙皮刚度。
