The tower crane (600) is configured to erect the crane tower (600) by stacking the tower sections (700) one on top of the other from below with the rotatable cantilever unit (670, 70) connected to the upper tower section (750, 90) to lengthen the crane tower (600) below the rotatable cantilever unit (670, 70). The crane tower (600) includes an upper section (700, 800) comprised of a series of a plurality of upper tower segments (750) and a lower section (800) comprised of a series of a plurality of lower tower segments (850). Each upper tower section (750, 90) is embodied as a tubular beam-type tower section (90, 91). Each lower tower section (850) is embodied as a tower section (90, 91) of the lattice structure (671, 673) type. The tower crane (600) further comprises an upper stabilizer arrangement and a lower stabilizer arrangement, each stabilizer arrangement being configured to horizontally connect an upper section (700, 800) of the crane tower (600) to an external higher structure (671, 673), such as a wind turbine tower (201).
