The invention provides a differential protection method and device, a medium and a vehicle, and relates to the technical field of vehicles. According to the method, at least one of the rotating speed difference change rate and the lubricating oil temperature of output shafts on the two sides of a differential, the rotating speed difference of the output shafts on the two sides of the differential and the duration of the rotating speed difference are obtained firstly, and then the torque limit value of a driving motor corresponding to the differential is determined accordingly; and finally, the output torque of the driving motor is controlled according to the torque limiting value. Therefore, the more accurate torque limit value is determined by comprehensively considering the change rate of the rotating speed difference and/or the temperature of the lubricating oil, the rotating speed difference, the duration of the rotating speed difference and other factors, the output torque of the driving motor corresponding to the differential mechanism is adjusted timely and effectively, and then the protection effect on the differential mechanism is improved.
