The invention relates to a collision risk assessment method based on a road environment and a vehicle system. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method for evaluating collision risk based on a road environment comprises the steps of: estimating a road surface friction coefficient distribution using one or more sensors; a step of calculating a road environment-based expected deceleration amount distribution of the own vehicle using the estimated road surface friction coefficient distribution and an expected deceleration amount of the own vehicle; a step of calculating a front safe distance distribution between the own vehicle and the preceding vehicle using the calculated expected deceleration amount distribution of the own vehicle; and a step for calculating the degree of risk of a forward collision based on the current distance between the own vehicle and the preceding vehicle on the basis of the calculated forward safe distance distribution.
