The invention relates to the technical field of hoisting, and provides a superlift counterweight luffing device and method applied to hoisting equipment. The superlift counterweight amplitude variation device applied to the hoisting equipment comprises a first supporting rod, a second supporting rod, a supporting rod driving piece and an adjusting assembly. The first end of the first supporting rod is hinged to a rotary table or a lengthening piece arranged on the rotary table. The first end of the second supporting rod is hinged to the second end of the first supporting rod, and the second end of the second supporting rod is connected with the superlift counterweight pulling plate or the lifting oil cylinder. The supporting rod driving part is connected with the first supporting rod and the second supporting rod, and the position of the connecting point of the supporting rod driving part and at least one of the first supporting rod and the second supporting rod is variable so as to change the working range of the superlift counterweight radius. Due to the fact that the position of the connecting point of the supporting rod driving piece and at least one of the first supporting rod and the second supporting rod is variable, the working range of the superlift counterweight radius can be changed, and the amplitude variation range can be enlarged or the horizontal supporting force of the supporting rods can be improved according to needs.
