The invention discloses a yaw stability control system for a four-wheel independent drive electric vehicle. The yaw stability control system comprises an information acquisition module, an index calculation module, an expected value calculation module, a control mode selection module, a whole vehicle additional yaw moment calculation module and a torque distribution module. The information acquisition module is used for acquiring vehicle state parameters, road condition parameters and other parameters of the vehicle; the index calculation module is used for calculating a vehicle state index evaluation factor, a road condition index evaluation factor and a danger evaluation factor; the expected value calculation module is used for calculating a side slip angle expected value and a yaw velocity expected value; the control mode selection module is used for selecting a control mode of the whole vehicle additional yaw moment calculation module; the whole vehicle additional yawing moment calculation module is used for calculating the whole vehicle additional yawing moment for keeping the stable running of the vehicle; and the torque distribution module is used for calculating the expected torque of each wheel for realizing stability control.
