The invention discloses an intersection and road section traffic safety evaluation method based on an extension cloud model. The intersection and road section traffic safety evaluation method comprises the following steps: Step 1: determining a standard cloud model; 2, cloud parameters of the cloud model are calculated; 3, calculating an incidence matrix of the cloud model; 4, basic probability distribution of each evaluation index is calculated; and Step 5, calculating an evaluation vector matrix, and determining an evaluation result. According to the method, traffic safety evaluation is carried out by adopting an extension matter element method, and object characteristics in an extension theory are described by utilizing a cloud model. The method can achieve the purpose of timely mastering the traffic safety states of urban intersections and road sections, and is of great significance to road safety management and decision-making at the present stage in China.
