The method comprises the steps that when a vehicle is in a charging state, the current residual capacity and the current actual temperature of a battery of the vehicle are obtained; determining the maximum allowable charging current corresponding to the current residual capacity and the temperature corresponding to the maximum allowable charging current; and when the maximum allowable charging current is larger than or equal to the maximum output current of the charging pile connected with the vehicle, and/or the current actual temperature of the battery is larger than the first temperature, the battery heating device is controlled to stop heating. Wherein the first temperature is the minimum value of the temperature corresponding to the maximum allowable charging current and the maximum allowable temperature of the charging pile. Therefore, when the charging current or the charging temperature of the battery meets the preset relation, heating of the battery can be stopped in time, and energy waste is avoided.
