The invention discloses a rudder telegraph control system and method, and the first purpose of the invention is to provide a rudder telegraph control system which comprises a cab signal sending display machine, a data acquisition controller, a rudder angle diplopia machine, a three-plane rudder pointer receiver, a left rudder feedback machine and a right rudder feedback machine. The second purpose of the invention is to provide a rudder telegraph control method. The rudder telegraph control method specifically comprises the following steps: (1) system initialization, (2) data acquisition and transmission, (3) rudder angle display and feedback, (4) rudder angle monitoring and feedback control, (5) system state monitoring and alarming, and (6) driver operation and feedback. Compared with the prior art, the rudder telegraph control system has the advantages that the rudder telegraph control system highly integrates a plurality of key components, the integration ensures cooperative work of the whole system, the overall performance of a ship is improved, and more comprehensive and reliable support is provided for ship control.
