An intelligent charging system for an electric vehicle comprises at least one intelligent charging pile and a cloud management center. The intelligent charging pile comprises a charging gun, a power supply circuit, a lens module and a signal processing circuit. The power supply circuit is electrically connected to the charging gun and is used for supplying power to the charging gun. The lens module is used for capturing at least one image associated with a carrier. The signal processing circuit has at least one identification model, is electrically connected to the power supply circuit and the lens module, and is used for executing an edge operation on the at least one image by using the at least one identification model, and controlling the power supply circuit according to a result of the edge operation. The cloud management center is in signal connection with the signal processing circuit and is used for updating at least one identification model of the signal processing circuit according to a result from the signal processing circuit.
