The invention relates to the technical field of monorail hoists, and discloses an energy-saving suspension type monorail hoist which comprises a rail body, an operation handle, a traction beam arranged at the bottom of the rail body, two sets of bearing vehicles and two sets of braking vehicles. The driving mechanism comprises two groups of switched reluctance motor bodies, an anti-explosion lithium battery power supply, two groups of anti-explosion switched reluctance motor controllers and driving wheels, an electric hoist is mounted at the bottom of the bearing vehicle, and two groups of switched reluctance motors are mounted in the electric hoist.
